Yes, I skipped day 2. You didn't miss seeing the blog. But in case you're wondering what we did, Emma and I went to church and spent the afternoon/evening at my in-laws' house playing and watching the Oscars. Good times.
Today (Monday) we went to a place called Bouncertown. It's for kids 10 and under, and it's similar to Chuck E. Cheese with all the games and tickets and prizes, but they also have several inflated bouncers that kids can go in. Two of them are just big slides. Emma's favorite of those was the 2-story one that had a slide on each side of the stairs. She looked so small sliding down that giant slide. She had so much fun, as did my mom, my dad and I.
We worked on learning people's names in pictures today with Emma. I want her to be familiar with the faces of who we're going to go see in Florida so she's not as nervous or shy when she first sees people. She's an ace at learning names. It's really quite incredible. Smart kid. Blew my parents away with how quickly she learned the names. My little genius.
I know there were some funny stories I was going to tell you about, but I've forgotten them now. Maybe I'll remember them later and can update the blog, but don't count on it.
That's all for now. More later.
Always remember: Fearless kids make for nervous parents (and grandparents).
